About LendNest
We are building a trusted, privacy-first community marketplace for verified neighbors to borrow useful items and pass on what they no longer need.
Why LendNest Exists
Every residential building is full of useful, high-quality items that are used just a few times a year: impact drills, pressure washers, camping tents, carpet cleaners, and projectors. When we need them, we either spend thousands buying them new or let them gather dust in crowded storage spaces.
At the same time, when we want to give away a sturdy study desk, baby gear, or indoor plants, open classifieds expose our home addresses to unknown strangers and lead to endless spam messages.
LendNest was created to change this. We connect verified residents living in the same residential community or gated society so they can borrow, share, and give away items locally with peace of mind.
Our 4 Core Commitments
1. Verified Neighbors Only
Marketplace members are verified as real residents of their building or society. No anonymous accounts or unknown buyer profiles.
2. Zero Address Exposure
Exact flat numbers and private verification documents are never shown on public pages. Pickup details are only shared after a request is accepted.
3. Safe Common-Area Handoffs
All handoffs occur in designated, neutral community spaces — like the building lobby, clubhouse reception, or security gate.
4. 100% Free Giveaways
Passing on pre-loved items to a neighbor is always free. No listing fees, no mandatory barter, and no hidden charges.
Transparency & Practical Limitations
We believe trust requires complete honesty about our platform:
- Verification establishes community residency — it is designed to confirm local residence, but it is not a complete guarantee of an individual's character or item condition.
- LendNest does not own the listed items — items are owned and offered by individual neighbors.
- Value Limits — Listings are capped at ₹10,000 to keep neighbor exchanges low-risk and focused on everyday tools and household gear.
- Community by Community Rollout — We activate communities thoughtfully to ensure verification integrity rather than expanding with unverified accounts.
