Why LendNest Exists
Finding a room in a shared flat in an Indian city means scrolling a group chat that scrolls away, calling about rooms that were taken three weeks ago, and travelling across the city on a Saturday to see a place you already knew was wrong. On the other side, a household whose flatmate is leaving is paying for an empty room while it repeats the same details to everyone who asks.
Neither side is short of listings. Both are short of information. You cannot tell from a classified whether the people cook meat, whether anyone smokes indoors, or whether the room is still free.
LendNest was created to change this. A room here shows the home, the household and where you would fit before you decide to visit. And once you have moved in, the same verified community helps you find the things you need, the people to do things with, and someone who knows a good plumber.

Everyone is verified as a real resident of their building or society. No anonymous accounts, and no brokers posing as flatmates.

Exact flat numbers and private verification documents are never shown on public pages. Pickup details are only shared after a request is accepted.
3. Safe Common-Area Handovers
All handovers occur in designated, neutral community spaces — like the building lobby, clubhouse reception, or security gate.
4. 100% Free Giveaways
Passing on pre-loved items to a neighbour is always free. No listing fees, no mandatory barter, and no hidden charges.
Transparency & Practical Limitations
We believe trust requires complete honesty about our platform:
- Verification establishes community residency — it is designed to confirm local residence, but it is not a complete guarantee of an individual's character or item condition.
- LendNest does not own the listed items — items are owned and offered by individual neighbours.
- Value Limits — Listings are capped at ₹10,000 to keep neighbour exchanges low-risk and focused on everyday tools and household gear.
- Community by Community Rollout — We activate communities thoughtfully to ensure verification integrity rather than expanding with unverified accounts.
