LENDER'S GUIDE

How to Lend Items to Neighbors

Help neighbors complete projects while keeping your home address confidential. Here is how to share gear safely.

Step 01

List items sitting idle in your home

Click + List Something. Take clean, well-lit photos. Describe any accessories included (e.g. "Includes masonry drill bit set and hard case").

Step 02

Set a sensible daily rate & deposit

Most lenders charge between ₹150 and ₹500 per day depending on item replacement value. Keep pricing reasonable to encourage neighborly cooperation. All items must stay within our ₹10,000 maximum valuation cap.

Step 03

Review & accept borrow requests

When a neighbor submits a request, check their requested start and return dates in your Activity dashboard. You can accept or decline with a single click.

Step 04

Meet in the common area and hand over

Coordinate a 5-minute meeting in your building lobby or clubhouse. Demonstrate how the tool turns on or where the safety switch is located. Once handed over, the loan becomes active.

Lender Peace of Mind

  • No Stranger Pickups: Only verified neighbors from your community can request community-scoped items.
  • No Home Entry: All handoffs happen in public, shared residential areas.
  • Full Control: You can accept, decline, or pause your listings whenever you need them for personal use.
