Table of Contents
1. Select Useful, Well-Maintained Items
The most sought-after items on LendNest include impact drills, aluminum step ladders, high-pressure washers, camping tents, projectors, and garment steamers.
Ensure your item is fully functional, clean, and includes essential cables, batteries, and operation manuals.
2. Set Fair Daily Pricing & Refundable Deposits
As a rule of thumb, daily rental fees are typically 3% to 5% of the item's retail cost (e.g., ₹150/day for a ₹4,500 drill, or ₹350/day for an ₹8,000 camping tent).
Set a reasonable refundable security deposit that reflects the item's replacement value to ensure careful usage.
3. Keep Your Home Address Private
Never publish your flat number, floor, or tower. On LendNest, all communication is handled through verified member profiles and all handovers take place in public ground-floor lobbies or security gates.
4. Reviewing Borrow Requests
When a neighbour submits a request, you will receive an immediate notification with their requested dates, quantity, and message.
You can review their verified community credentials and approve or decline with a single click in your Activity hub.
